Anatomy and Physiology Courses

Have you ever wondered how your body functions ? Anatomy and Physiology I and Anatomy and Physiology II cover an overview of the human body systems and the relationships between them. You will have the opportunity to learn how the major human body systems maintain homeostasis and how diseases affect those systems.

In Anatomy and Physiology I you will learn about the following systems:

  • Integumentary
  • Skeletal
  • Muscular
  • Nervous system
  • Special senses
  • Endocrine systems

Anatomy and Physiology II teaches you about the following systems:

  • Cardiovascular
  • Lymphatic
  • Respiratory
  • Digestive
  • Urinary
  • Reproductive

Upon successful completion of the courses, you can be able to discuss tissue types in the body, basic chemical structures, cellular structure and cellular metabolism. You will also have the opportunity to learn about human anatomy, nutritional value of foods and the interaction between water, electrolytes and acid-base balance in the body.

By enrolling in the Surgical Technologist program, you will receive training in a traditional classroom setting, as well as the school's clinical labs. This combination of training can help you be prepared for the real world and entry-level surgical tech jobs.
